Yesterday I was in a antique fund. As I browse through bunches of books, I was shocked to see there's few books that was over 50 years old. I'm wondering if anyone know anything about following:

What is considered 'antique' when it comes to books?
I have some 1st print run books and I'm uncertain how old they have to be to be called antiques. Anyone familiar with antique books?
Books are mostly rated another way. Most books wanted by collectors are first editions. Rarity depends on the content and author. Stipulation also is important. Old Encyclopedias, geography and other text books generally have little value. Exception,

How can I get into a career with antique books?
It seems that the only passion I have is for books, new and old. I exceptionally love collecting antique books. When thinking about what I would like to do for the rest of my life, I would love to work with books. So, what are some careers with books,
Owning an antique bookstore would be so remote! I dont that that there is such a thing, so you'd make lots of money. I would get a Buisness deploma in those things and whatever a stock owner has to know you learn that.

What site should I use to sell my antique books?
Would it be well-advised for me to sell these antique books (mostly 1800s) on Alibris, Abebooks, Tomfolio, Biblio, Antiqbook or perhaps another site? Could anyone subscribe to who to go with or who not to go with? Thank You!
abebooks are extremely excellent but you might get more money on ebay where people will be impressed that the book is antique and not realise it's actually quality less than a modern paperback...
