Does anyone have a DVD burner? im prospects to buy one because right now what we have is a regular camcorder, and sucks when I have to transfer a VHS tape (which is already obsolete) to my mom.

DVD Recorder?

I have a new DVD Recorder and I would like to transmission all my videos to DVD.
Can I hook my Video player to my DVD Recorder, if so how can I, and what leads do I need?


You MAY be proficient to do it with a SCART lead but some videos are 'macromedia' protected to prevent direct copying.

Yes, providing that the originals are not copyright protected.

Sounds like you have hooked it up proper.
The problem will be that the recorder can detect that you are trying to copy copyrighted material(DVD's).

Most DVD recorders will not let you copy DVD's, as you are decree out.

Huge fine, lengthy jail term for Sarawakian if found guilty

KOTA KINABALU: A Sarawakian man faces a beefy fine and a lengthy jail term if found guilty of four charges of possessing five multi-DVD recorders, 32,208 pieces of pirated VCDs, 11,718 pieces of nasty DVDs and 31,200 pieces of obscene picture covers.

In the Sessions Court proceedings, David Hint Hing Huat, 33, pleaded not guilty before the deputy registrar of the High Court, Zulkifli Abllah, to two of his four charges yesterday.

On the first upon, he was accused of possessing the DVD recorders at a shop at Plaza Grand Millennium in Penampang at 3.05pm on July 16.

He was charged under Segment 4 of the Optical Discs Act 2000, punishable under Section 26 of the same Act which carries a fine of not less than RM250,000 or a utmost jail of three years or  both, upon conviction.

The second count alleged that Tang, who was the caretaker of the premises, was selling 32,208 VCDs without the ‘B’ certificate at the same yet and place.
