My dog is chewing on wood.?

My one-year-old Beagle Laborador mix is a threatening chewer. She chews everything from her bed in her kennel, the towel that I replaced it with, the blanket I replaced the towel with, chintzy toys, plush toys, crayons, pencils, a wooden magazine rack,


It's not customary to hurt her to shew the wood, unless shes eating a 2x4. There are many reasons why dogs chew. Loneliness, boardome, combativeness, to much energy and the list can go on and on. Have you tried giving her chew bones to occupy her time?
