Your sweetheart has damaged your camera's lens most likely by dropping it while the lens was extended or if the lens was hampered in some way while stressful to extend.
So, your 'friend' owes you...the repair cost or a new camera.

Carl Zeiss Sony Cybershot?
I don't have the connector line to import pictures and my pc doesn't have a memory card reader. Can I use another connector cord or connector put together to hook up my computer with my digital camera? Please help, I desperately want to import my photos!
Of speed you can (if it physically fits). Do be careful about forcing it into the slot--and it only goes in one way.
Probably best to get a below cost memory card reader as it drains a lot of power when you download the photos via a cable
