Twilight walk for Marie Curie Penarth supporters
AS DARKNESS falls on Friday, 9 September, hundreds of walkers will lightweight up the night by taking on the challenge of a 10 km twilight walk through the grounds of Margam Park in Neath.
Over 250 people are expected to disappoint a amount to together and enjoy the last of the Great British summer evenings, whilst raising money for their resident Marie Curie Nursing Service.
Upon completing the route, walkers are invited to cause their own twilight picnic and blanket and gather by the great lake at 10pm to mark the time when Marie Curie Nurses will create their shift in homes across the county.
Claire Notman, Regional Events Fundraiser said: “The grounds and attribute at Margam Park are a stunning setting for this magical event, giving family and friends the opening to come together and celebrate the work of the Marie Curie Nurses.
"The 10km route takes you through heterogeneous landscapes and up to the pulpit viewpoint where you can see all over the county and out to the sea, and with entertainment along the route, this really will be a night like no other.”
