Tokina 11-16 or Canon 10-22 ?
I am an avid photographer lower
but ...
I am a bit on a crossroads between the Tokina and Canon wide angle lenses. Tokina has an f / 2.8 really sweet, but the Canon has a perception of further (up to 22mm).
Both are AS adequate in terms of performance. Sharpness control the fall-off, control chromatic aberration .. it's the same way and excellent. You buy the Tokina for the f / 2.

will a tokina 11-16 f/2.8 fit on my canon ef mount film camera?
camera canon 5
ef mount

will the mirror hit the lens?
or will i get severe vinetting?
can i use it at the 16mm to reduce vignetting?
The lens is an EF mount.
There is no consummation with protruding rear element, so using it on a film camera will damage neither the lens nor the camera.
It's undeniably only usable at 16mm, as stated elsewhere, it vignettes at shorter focal

Have Canon 40D w/28-135mm lens. Need shorter & wider lens to complement...need some details and advice?
Am looking at Tamron 17-50/2.8, Canon 17-40mm/4L, Tokina 12-24mm. Also, I have noticed that Canon/s newest EOS leaflet lists several Prime lens as "Wide angle"...these would be 20mm, 24mm, 14mm, 28mm, etc......SO this leads to my more set question.
Don't get the Canon 24 mm f 1.4. It's very costly - and as 'fast' as it is, this lens is hardly wider than what you have now.
If you're going to go wide, why don't you get Canon 10-22 mm one.

Canon 40d....good/great/too dated camera?
I upright got this from my best friend; I traded him my used NikonD80, with 18-55mm kit lens, a set of lodgings speakers ($400 value) and a little cash for his mint Canon 40d, along with a strap, 28-135mm IS, and 75-300/f4-5.6 lens (non-IS). I expect
The Canon's expensive iso capabilities are fine; if you were satisfied with the D80, you should have no problems with the Canon's output.
The number of focus cape are not that critical. The D300's 51 point system is mostly centered in

would you swap three lenses for the Canon 24-70 2.8L?
I'm debating whether I lack to swap 3 lenses to get the 24-70L
I have a Canon 40D and the following lenses:

85 1.8 Canon
70-200 2.8 L IS Canon
I love all 4 of them
In-Depth Review: Tokina 100mm f2.8 AT-X PRO Macro
For people who like to get up familiar and critical with their photography, the 100mm macro is the Goldilocks of macros in that it allows more working space than the 50mm versions and costs a lot less than the 150mm and up lenses....
