Tokina 11-16 mm VS. Nikon 35mm 1.8?
I cramped a lens that takes beautiful pictures of sunsets before and landscapes. (Generally sunsets / landscapes but also flowers would not hurt). Which is better?
35mm Nikkor lens is a sharp and too fast, but Tokina will provide a greater angle and a better range to work with. Generalized angle bookmark if used properly can make a landscape look good.

The 35 mm is not a "wide" enough to photograph landscapes. So the Tokina for you.

I'd clearly go for the Tokina, it's a faster lens at f/2.8 as compared to the slower f/4.5 of the sigma, the 1 degree dissimilitude in width on the wide end is negligible. I find myself sticking mostly around 10mm when I am using such a wide lens.

how sharp is the tokina 11-16 f/2.8?
i have a nikon d60 with a nikon 50mm 1.8. i'm sooner looking to buy a nikon 85mm 1.8 and a tokina 11-16mm 2.8 and am wondering how sharp it'll be. i have the 18-55 kit lens and i antagonism it.
The Tokina is a marvelously alert wide angle lens. Even at F2.8 it is sharp as a tack. Bump it up a couple of stops it is even well-advised. Ken Rockwell loves this lens. He actually says that it is better than the Nikon equivalent and recommends it over

tokina 12-24 f4...or tokina 11-16 f2.8?
has anyone in reality used either of these lenses. I read some pretty good reviews but was wondering if anyone had first hand undergo......using them on a cropped sensor nikon dslr...
Which you buy should have nothing to do with the reviews, but the subjects you plan to photograph.
The 12-24 mm f/4 is a very useful lens if you shoot landscapes and architectural subjects.
The 11-16 f/2.8 is a faster lens,

Hey im looking at getting the 11-16 tokina for my nikon d90 as ive pore over reviews saying its pretty good for it price etc. If u can please give us some feedback on what u reckon or recommend
