How do you avoid the dark band in your pictures when taking a wide angle shot?

I have a goal Tokina 12-24mm wide angle. Has anyone distinguish how to avoid the black band around your photos? Has it something to do with using or not using a circular polarizer?

Creative examples using a wide angle lens?

I am looking into sundry types of lenses to get, for the sake of inspiration, I would like to see good examples of the wide angle lens in use. I am looking to get the Tokina 12-24mm lens, peradventure.

I have a Tokina 12-24mm wide angle lens and I method on taking a trip where most of my shots will be outdoors, especially the beach. Using a circular polarizer isn’t so gain because it will create a dark area in the sky. Is there another filter that

What are you attempting to fulfil? A polariser will make blue skies bluer and cut reflections off water glass etc it will also ret colours in the frame. But on a 12 mm lense the effect can be uneaven with banding across the sky. To get the best cause

which wide angle lens out of these 3?

i have a d90 and i am looking to purchase a wide angle lens.
out of these 3 which would you say i should get?
Sigma 10 - 20mm
Tamron 11 -24mm
Tokina 12 -24mm
i foretell tamron 10-24mm

Nikon 10.5mm f/2.8 or Nikkor 10-24mm f/3.5

I only put forward OEM.


If I had to say one of the three then I would say the Tokina. It seems to have the best IQ and build quality according to the reviews. Looking at
